Here's a little bit about my ocs and the world they live in
Cam Hewitt
As a dragonfly Fae, she is tasked with protecting the humans from the supernatural of their world. As she finds herself in the company of an Alien named Xia, she is faced with the task of keeping her out of the public eye. In the end will she be able to protect her family, humanity or even herself?
Marcy Hewitt
As a small business owner of a coffee, books, and flower shop, she welcomes all Fae who need a place to rest. She reunites Cam one day and is brought into the story of keeping Xia "safe." She is also a dragonfly Fae and has a loving sister (Cam) and father (Leon). Will she be able to help Cam with Xia or just further hinder her?
Xia ...
As an alien who found herself on a mission to earth, she is finding things quite different than what she's used to; especially the Hewitt Fae family that seem to grasp onto her. She will admit they have been quite helpful but, will she stay loyal to her home planet and finish her mission or abandon it realizing the damage it could do?
Leon Hewitt
Leon is a loving father to Cam and Marcy as well as an elder Monarch Fae. With his knowledgeable expertise in the supernatural, will he be able to predict the havoc that might soon occur?
Irene (Iris) Hewitt
Iris is the loving wife of Leon and while she has passed away by the start of the story, she is still a crucial part of the Hewitt family. While her true name (Irene) has been brought to the light, will there be justice for her unlawful execution?
The Fae
Wings
Fae can have many different types of wings but, they all stem from different winged insects such as
Dragonfly Fae
Butterfly Fae
All of their wings are functional for flying. They can also hid their wings, making them physically disappear.
Abilities
All Fae have different abilities unique to their magic. Some examples of unique abilities are mind reading, telepathy, teleportation, growing plants, and being able to locate objects. When they are young, they are taught basic skills when they start showing signs of magic.
When they use large amounts of energy, their wings expand and their ears grow pointy because their main source of power comes from their wings. After they leave this heightened state, they are very weak and have to recover. The more they come and go from this state, the shorter their recovery is. The first time they enter this state and their ears change, they don't change back.
Ranks
The Fae as a whole have one purpose- to protect humans from anything supernatural that seeps through into their lives. Many things such as ghosts, spirits, and Aliens.
-Monarchs-
They are the main peace keepers between clusters and each cluster has to have at least three monarchs for a cluster to be considered official. (only odd numbers so that they are more balanced) Some Monarchs have family crests much like the Hewitt family. (The plant tattoo found on Marcy's left leg, Cam's right arm and Leon's back)
-Defenders-
They are powerful Fae who choose to protect and serve the monarchs. They have a few different positions like, human spies, protecting Fae, and working directly for monarchs. (thought there is a law that Fae can't work for their own families) To become defenders, they have to pass a series of tests as they have to be loyal.
-Members-
The rest of the Fae mostly do odd jobs for their clusters and live within the cluster borders. Many families stay in the same clusters for generations.
-Clusters-
They are the groups and organizations of Fae. They are ruled by Monarchs and all have their own rules much like town ordinances. They are all based on the same rules and practices. They all have different specialties that form their society.
